Illustria: Representing World-Class Illustrators

Illustria was born from the legacy of Erika Groeschel INC, an agency founded with the mission of elevating the art of visual storytelling. Over the years, Erika Groeschel Farrar built a reputation for curating exceptional illustrators and fostering genuine connections with artists and clients alike. Today, under a new name, Illustria embraces this heritage while evolving with a fresh vision.

I founded Illustria to represent world-class illustrators through a boutique, hands-on approach. We work closely with brands, publishers, and creative teams to craft powerful visual narratives that inspire, inform, and captivate.

Illustria is built on a quality-over-quantity philosophy. I curate exceptional talent and focus on meaningful collaboration, because the best work happens when the process feels personal, clear, and intentional.

My role extends beyond representation. I align the right artist to each brief, guide the creative direction, and ensure the work balances conceptual clarity, emotional resonance, and strong visual storytelling.

OSLO FREEDOM FORUM COLLABORATION

A defining example of Illustria’s approach is our collaboration with the Human Rights Foundation and the Oslo Freedom Forum.

The Forum brings together voices from around the world, yet source photography varied widely in quality and style, making visual cohesion difficult across speakers and communications. Illustration became the solution.

We partnered with illustrator Cristiano Siqueira to create 19 illustrated portraits of the main speakers, establishing a unified visual language while honoring each individual. The portraits were featured on large-scale screens during presentations and across HRF’s communications and digital platforms, bringing warmth, clarity, and human connection to an intense and complex subject.

In addition to the portrait series, we developed an illustrated deck of cards featuring many of the Forum’s most influential voices in global activism. Each card used custom illustration to create a cohesive, collectible set that honored individual identities while extending the Forum’s visual language into a tactile, shareable format.

Illustria exists to solve communication challenges through art. The Oslo Freedom Forum project demonstrates how illustration can create a cohesive and elegant visual identity where photography cannot, helping a global organization communicate with consistency, approachability, and impact.

More broadly, Illustria continues to connect world-class illustrators with leading brands, publishers, and creative teams to deliver bold, unforgettable visuals rooted in story and emotion.
